DEFYING GRAVITY: the songs of Stephen Schwartz premiered at Sydney’s Theatre Royal in February 2016 to enormous audience and critical acclaim.
Returning to Australia for this event, David was joined by Broadways stars Sutton Foster (Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie) and Aaron Tveit (Les Misérables movie, Next To Normal, Catch Me If You Can), West End star Joanna Ampil (Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Cats), and Helpmann Award winner Helen Dallimore (Blood Brothers, Legally Blonde). Tony Award winning Broadway, TV and film icon Betty Buckley (Cats, Pippin, Sunset Boulevard, Carrie) made a very special guest appearance, marking her debut Sydney performance.
This thrilling concert includes Stephen Schwartz classics such as Day by Day, Colors of the Wind, When You Believe, Popular, Corner of the Sky, Beautiful City, Meadowlark and Defying Gravity.
